I counted the days from last week until last night because I was super excited I was going to hear Lesley Hazelton LIVE!! My March 3rd post was about her and how I wanted to hear her LIVE one day and I can't believe my wish came true!
And here I am with her!
Since it was a special event, I wore my favorite t-shirt that my uncle got me. I always wear it when I'm super excited!
It was a good lecture, but I'm too young to understand most of it. I hope I get to hear her again soon. She said that the best way we, meaning the younger muslims such as moi, I and me, could fight the negative image of Muslims in the West is by being ourselves. Which is good because I don't know how to be anyone else.
